Entrance Scholarship for Degree Programmes under the SSSDP (for Year-1 Entry Students)
THEi has set up an “Entrance Scholarship Scheme” in recognition of the all-round performance of outstanding Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) students who enroll in the designated degree programmes under the Study Subsidy Scheme for Designated Professions/Sectors (SSSDP). The scheme offers scholarships with award amount up to full scholarship covering four consecutive years of studies per award.

Notes:
- Eligible students will receive notifications from the Institute and may be required to provide relevant information or attend an interview. No application is required. Students who are awarded with the Full Scholarship will not be eligible to those one-off scholarship listed in “Other Scholarships” offered by the same THEi programme.
- The criteria of scholarship is subject to annual review. Other achievements such as music, sports, leadership, community services and other extra-curricular activities may be considered.
- The results of the four core subjects, namely Chinese Language (A010), English Language (A020), Mathematics – Compulsory Part (A030) and Liberal Studies (A040) must have been included in the calculation of HKDSE score. The fifth subject will be the best subject you have attained in the remaining HKDSE subject(s). The Extended Mathematics modules will not be taken into account for scholarship consideration.
- Awardees of Full Scholarship have to fulfill other conditions as set by the Selection Committee, which include:
- Undertake to stay at the Institute for at least one academic year in each academic year; and
- Remain in the same programme, rather than transfer or readmit to the same or another programme during the study period; and
- Take a minimum load of 30 credit points in each academic year (the credit points obtained by way of credit transfer/module exemption are excluded.)

- In 2019/20 Academic Year, the designated degree programmes for Entrance Scholarship (Year-1 Entry in SSSDP programmes) include:
- JSSV03 Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Landscape Architecture
- JSSV07 Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Horticulture and Landscape Management
- JSSV08 Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Surveying
- JSSV11 Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Multimedia Technology and Innovation
- JSSV12 Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Information and Communications Technology
Awardees have to fulfill other conditions as set by the Selection Committee, which include undertaking to stay at the Institute for the entire academic year. THEi reserves the rights to adjust the selection criteria based on the actual number of eligible students in each academic year.
THEi has also set up the "Scholarship for Excellent Performance" for progressing students with value up to HK$40,000 in recognition of their excellent academic achievements in THEi.
