On-the-Job Training Allowance Pilot Scheme offers an advancement opportunity to employees in the Construction Industry to pursue a Construction-related Part-time Bachelor’s Degree qualification while working. With the flexible study plan provided, employees will be given a speedy path to acquire professional knowledge in THEi and gain real-life work experience in the workplace at the same time, which will be advantageous to their future career development. Also, allowance from the Government will be given to enrolled students to support their continued education development.
Construction companies can be benefited from the Scheme by supporting their staff to study THEi's construction-related degree programmes and/or recruiting our students to become their staff, who will still be studying a degree programme in a flexible study mode and could enter the construction industry before the completion of their degree programme.

Scope of Pilot Scheme:
The scope of this pilot scheme covers the Academic Years 2023/24 and 2024/25.
Student should be enrolled in a Construction-related Degree Programme and is being employed by a Company in Construction Field.
AND
Attending not less than 36 working days On-the-Job Training in a 3-month period.
Disbursement of On-the-Job Training Allowance (once every 3 months):
1st Academic Year: HK$2,000 per month
2nd Academic Year: HK$2,500 per month
3rd Academic Year: HK$3,000 per month
The Maximum Cumulative Amount of on-the-job training allowance disbursed to a registered student is HK$90,000.
