Bright Future Charitable Foundation – Outstanding Green Scholarship
Funded by the Bright Future Charitable Foundation, the Outstanding Green Scholarship aims to recognise the outstanding academic performance and strong commitment to the professional development of students studying Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Horticulture, Arboriculture and Landscape Management at THEi.
Eligible Students
Full-time students admitted to year 1, 2 or 3 of Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Horticulture, Arboriculture and Landscape Management programme at THEi in Academic Year (AY) 2023/24.
Scholarship Amount
Each awardee will receive HK$10,000 of scholarship per study year, tenable for 2 – 4 years depending on the entry level of admission (i.e. Year-1, Year-2 and Year-3 admitted awardees can receive up to HK$40,000, HK$30,000 and HK$20,000 respectively for their study at THEi), contingent on meeting renewal criteria.
Selection Procedure
The selection will rest on the students’ CGPA performance and commitment to professional development in AY2023/24. The selected candidate will be invited to submit two reflection reports that demonstrate strong commitment to professional development in arboriculture/horticultural practice through participating in at least two enrichment activities (e.g. seminars, workshops, training courses) related to the field in AY2023/24. The selection results will be announced in October 2024.
Condition for Scholarship Renewal and Replacement
The minimum required CGPA for renewal is 3.0 in an academic year.
