Note: 

  • All students of THEi are required to use VTC “Vaccination Record System for Students” (VRSS) to present the vaccination records or infection proof for campus entry. 
  • All programmes and activities will be cancelled in case of adverse weather conditions. Please refer to Arrangements during Adverse Weather Conditions.
  • THEi will monitor the pandemic situation closely. Should face-to-face activities or campus operations are suspended, THEi shall inform students of the latest arrangement in due course.

Introducing the Centre for Learning Enhancement
Aims & Objectives / Outline
  • To introduce new students to the services of the Centre for Learning Enhancement

  • To highlight English language development opportunities and support types

  • The orientation sessions will include: 
    • games and quizzes to introduce CLE services 
    • sharing by students about their experience with CLE

Introduction to IT and Library Services
Aims & Objectives / Outline
  • To introduce THEi App, including download, installation and essential functions
  • To highlight e-databases and introduce how to conduct a literature search
  • To introduce Research Guides, including suggested resources for supporting students’ study and research needs
  • To introduce IT support services, including Wi-Fi and email setup, VPN installation and other essential services
  •  To introduce digital literacy and library literacy workshops and seminars offered by Learning Commons

  • To connect with new students from multi-disciplines
  • To identify the expectations and requirements for an undergraduate programme
  • To understand the importance of having an adaptive and positive mindset
  • To provide simple tips on study skills and time management
  • To introduce learning advising, study skills workshops, and Digital Badges Scheme
