About the Event

Supported by a grant from the Research Grants Council of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, China (Project No.: UGC/IDS25/15), the Research Centre for Waste and Resource Management (the Centre) aims to become an industry-based research hub for upgrading the technological capabilities and improving the competitiveness of environment-related industries in Hong Kong and the Pan-Pearl River Delta Region. The Centre will focus on high-level applied research in collaboration with industrial partners to develop effective methods and technologies for tackling current environmental problems.

You are invited to join us in this event to celebrate the grand opening of the Research Centre for Waste and Resource Management at THEi and gain insight into some of the environmental issues related to civil engineering projects in Hong Kong.

This event is jointly organised by THEi and the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation (CIHT)  Hong Kong Branch. CIHT is the leading professional body for transportation practitioners. It has about 13,000 members worldwide with over 670 members in Hong Kong, working across the full highways and transportation spectrum.
