國際交流

(English Version Only)

A group of 30 students from the Environmental Engineering and Management (EEM) programme went on an exchange activity in Shenzhen Polytechnic from 13 to 20 July, which was led by Dr Helen LU, Assistant Professor, Dr Douglas WONG, Teaching Fellow and Dr Alex TSANG, Teaching Fellow of EEM Programme, Faculty of Science and Technology, THEi.

Funded by Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China, this exchange programme allowed our students to gain fruitful achievements through various activities including site visits, laboratory sections and the valuable opportunities to interact with fellow students from Shenzhen Polytechnic.

During the stay in Shenzhen, students from both institutes paid visits to Nanshan and Futian wastewater treatment plants and collected water and sludge samples onsite. A series of experiments on wastewater monitoring parameters were then conducted, where students could gain hands-on experiences of technical skills. They also communicated and shared study experience and professional knowledge. Our students improved team spirits and critical thinking ability in this project and built deeper friendship with undergraduates in Shenzhen Polytechnic.
