Want to hear your voice broadcast to the whole of Hong Kong!? Gain some media experience? Improve your confidence in speaking English, your research skills or your writing skills?

Take part in this exciting and unique opportunity to be on the RADIO for RTHK!

The RTHK funded show Cultural Dimsum are looking for a group of dedicated and talented students from THEi to write and record 10-20 mins. of content for one of their themed episodes.

The weekly programme explores the different aspects of Chinese and Indian culture by welcoming members of the Hong Kong community to share their own stories and knowledge in creative ways.

Topics to choose from include the urban myths and legends of Hong Kong, Hong Kong based ghost stories, Chinese religion and its message, as well as discussing commonly misunderstood words or phrases translated from English and Cantonese.

The programme is pre-recorded - so no worrying about making mistakes live on air! - and broadcast a few weeks later. You could write a short story, do a role play, have a discussion or debate - the list is endless! You can say as little or as much as you want, write something individually or as a group. It's all up to you!

For more information about the show, and to listen to previously recorded episodes, follow this link: http://programme.rthk.hk/channel/radio/programme.php?p=7110

There are also opportunities to get involved in the production process of the show, for example becoming a researcher, episode designer, production coordinator, radio show host, music coordinator or post-production editor.

Contact your PC at CristynL@chatteris.org.hk for more information or to express interest - or else drop by the CLE (KT Room 253; TY Room 415) anytime and come talk to us in person! Because of recording deadlines topics will be decided on Friday 4th March, but spots will remain open after.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon!
