BENALLA Yassmine女士

BENALLA Yassmine女士

Yassmine is a Media & Communications graduate from Birmingham City University. Her undergraduate studies focused on current media industry practices such as radio and film production, broadcast journalism and events management. Yassmine produced a radio documentary for her final year project which retraced her family’s Moroccan roots. She travelled to Casablanca and Marrakesh in an effort to discover what her life would have been like if she had been born in Morocco instead of the UK. As a fluent speaker of Arabic, Yassmine translated the stories of the young women she met and investigated the challenges they face. Yassmine received the Silver Award in the Best Student Documentary category of the New York Radio Festival in the 2016.
