Study Subsidy Scheme for Designated Professions / Sectors (SSSDP)

Study Subsidy Scheme for Designated Professions/Sectors (SSSDP) for Academic Year 2015/16

Application and Admission

JUPAS Applicants

Applicants can apply for admission to the full-time bachelor’s degree programmes under the Study Subsidy Scheme for Designated Professions/Sectors (SSSDP) through the Joint University Programmes Admissions System (JUPAS).  For details, please refer to SSSDP Website.

Non-JUPAS Applicants

The intake places of programmes under the SSSDP are mainly allocated through the JUPAS. Should there be unfilled intake places after all admission rounds of JUPAS, the SSSDP participating institution will admit local non-JUPAS applicants* via direct admission of no more than 10% of the subsidised places of each selected programme.

The number of unfilled intake places for each SSSDP programme, if available, and details of the application arrangement will be announced via this website after 10:00 a.m., 29 August 2015. Local non-JUPAS applicants* may submit their applications for these unfilled SSSDP intake places after 10:00 a.m., 29 August 2015.  Applications should be submitted via the VTC Web-based Admissions System by the deadline at 5:00 p.m., 31 August 2015.  Late application will not be considered.  Should you have any enquiry, please feel free to contact the Registry at 2176 1456.

*Local non-JUPAS applicants are referred to:

  1. those without any HKDSE Examination results (Past and/or Current);
  2. those with other academic results only;
  3. those with a combination of HKDSE Examination and other academic results which TOGETHER may make them eligible for application to the 9 JUPAS participating-institutions and the SSSDP institutions but have not applied for 2015 admission through the JUPAS; or
  4. those who are currently enrolled in a full-time or sandwich bachelor's degree programme offered under JUPAS.
