The Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on 28 July 2015 with Café de Coral Group, one of Asia’s largest publicly listed restaurant and catering groups, to launch the “Café de Coral Scholarship” for students of the Institute.

 

THEi’s President Professor David LIM and Café de Coral Group’s Chief Executive Officer Mr Sunny LO Hoi Kwong signed the MOU. 

 

With the generous support of Café de Coral Group, starting from Academic Year 2015/16, a scholarship of HK$30,000 each year will be granted to one student entering the final year of study (Year 4) in the Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Culinary Arts and Management programme.  A committee comprising representatives of both parties will be responsible for selecting the awardee.  The selection will be made based on merit and the financial needs of students.
