World Design Summer Camp “A City Driven by Design"

The World Design Summer Camp (CAMP) programme is organized to encourage cultural and design knowledge exchange among global and local university students. As Hong Kong furthers the development of the design industries under the aegis of the creative economy, nurturing talents is important. It is absolutely crucial for our students to acquire as international horizon and a think-out-of-the-box creative mindset through interactive learning, exposure and cross-cultural exchanges.

A series of workshops is intended to inspire students, and aims at building up design thinking with global perspectives related to social, economic and environmental topics, as well as sharpening the creative output in a cross-cultural and multi-disciplinary context. A total of 200 design students will be in Hong Kong for a week on different workshops. They are from local Hong Kong, China, Asia Pacific, Europe and America.

Our staff, Sonny Choy is one of the tutor organize and conduct workshop on the topic of Public and universal design during 30 June to 10 July. 2012, in the School of Design, HKPolyU and Hong Kong Design Institute.
