An integral part of the School of General Education and Languages, the Centre for Learning Enhancement (CLE) aims to provide students with the support they need to enhance their learning experience at THEi through guided and independent study of language and General Education topics. We believe that each student should be able to engage in learning in ways that take into account his or her specific GE and communication needs and individual learning styles. We help students set their learning goals and guide them through their learning by offering individual consultations and small-group workshops.
In addition to helping students enhance their formal and informal learning, we aim to create an inclusive environment where different cultures and languages are equally valued and enjoyed. We organise a range of cultural activities such as movie appreciation workshops, ethnic culture weeks, and taster sessions.

Eggs Benedict Day
This April, find out more about Eggs Benedict Day with CLE. Every April 16th, Eggs Benedict Day celebrates a long-favored breakfast or brunch dish. Eggs Benedict consists of poached eggs with Hollandaise sauce and bacon or ham on English muffin halves.
Zodiac Signs and Chinese Zodiac workshops
Whether you're an English language enthusiast, a curious learner, or simply intrigued by Zodiac, this workshop is for you. Learn new English vocabulary, and more, related to the symbols, culture, and history behind the Zodiac signs and Chinese Zodiac.
Netherlands Koningsdag
This April, learn more about Koningsdag with CLE. Koningsdag is an orange-filled celebration. On that day, Amsterdam's canals are flooded with a sea of orange, as many brightly decorated boats fill the waterways.
